Southern California Counseling Center (SCCC)

During my two-year internship, I treated adults with a variety of diagnoses and issues, including depression, anxiety, PTSD and personality disorders.

At SCCC, in The Abuse Prevention Program (TAPP), I co-facilitated groups, working with domestic violence victims and perpetrators on anger management issues and to increase empowerment and decrease co-dependency.

Los Angeles Department of Mental Health Agency

Worked with foster children with attachment disorders, suffering from trauma and abandonment issues.

Matrix Institute on Addictions

Worked with alcohol and substance abusers and addicts in an intensive outpatient program connected with The University of California, Los Angeles. Facilitated Cognitive-Behavioral groups, did assessments and individual therapy with addicts, substance abusers and their families.

Eating Disorder Clinic

Provided individual and group therapy for individuals diagnosed with bulimia, anorexia, binge eating disorder and eating disorders NOS. Dealt with issues of body image, body dysmorphic disorder, self-esteem, weight control, and dysfunctional relationships.

Workers’ Compensation Clinics

Treated patients in crisis with trauma, chronic pain and work stress. Provided individual and group therapy.
